Bahrain Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa turned down an invitation to Wills and Kate’s big day nuptial fest this Friday. The Crown Prince claimed that he didn’t want to overshadow the wedding, and added that he is ‘saddened and troubled’ by reports of the Bahraini government's treatment of protesters.
The activists writing to Ecclestone said that F1 should keep its distance from the country until ‘basic human rights are restored and the repression is over’.
