Brazil has produced a number ofworld class Formula one drivers. The following are the top Brazilian Formula 1 drivers of all time.

Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna is widely thought of as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. He won the World Championship three times in 1988, 1990 and 1991. His record includes 41 wins and 80 podium finishes. He started his career with Toleman before moving on to Lotus and then McLaren. He then signed to Williams for the 1994 season. He died tragically in a crash while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at just 34 years of age.

Rubens Barrichello

Rubens Barrichello was seen as protégé to Ayrton Senna when he first started out in Formula 1 in 1993. His most successful period was when he was signed to Ferrari from 2000 to 2005. During this time he finished as championship runner up in 2002 and 2004. He has had 11 Grand Prix wins and 68 podium finishes. He is the most experienced driver in Formula 1 history with 317 races. He is currently racing for the Williams team.

Felipe Massa

Felipe Massa has been a Formula 1 racing driver since 2002 and has been under contract with Ferrari since 2006. His career record includes 11 wins and 33 podiums. He finished second in the 2008 Drivers World Championship. During the course of the 2008 season he had 6 pole positions, 6 wins and 3 fastest laps. He missed 7 races during the 2009 season due to injuries he sustained in a high speed crash in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
