Electric car becomes a reality

Big questions such as ‘How much will it cost?’ and ‘Where can it be charged?’ still haven’t been answered in the UK but this hasn’t stopped major car markets pushing the potential future in motoring.

The government in the Republic of Ireland is to introduce a 5,000 Euro grant to all car manufactures who intend on building electric cars. The car expected to lead the electric revolution is the Nissan Leaf which has been described as a petrol driven car but without the noise. The Leaf will be available from garage forecourts from next year and has an estimated distance of 16km per charge. That is, of course, if you can find a car point to do the charge.

The new policy comes into play shortly.
