Fake sign leads to hundreds of fines

In the city of Bradford hundreds of motorists are in a spot of bother for speeding after unknown pranksters put up a fake 40mph sign inside a 30mph zone.

The road that goes through the village of Wyke has a speed camera monitoring it at all times, and according to locals the camera was going off 'like a strobe light' during the time that the phoney sign was up.

The fake sign has now been taken down, with road safety engineers at Bradford Council labelling the practical joke as 'crassly irresponsible.' Those who were caught speeding when they thought they were obeying the law will be even more cheesed off. They should make an appeal to the police at their earliest convenience.

Whoever the pranksters were, they should consider themselves lucky nobody was hurt - or even killed. Not very funny.
