Ferrari of the future

You've heard of the supercar, but Ferrari have announced the winners of a competition to design the 'hypercar' of the future, and are so impressed with the results that it suggested that some of the entries may actually be considered for construction.

Students at Seoul's Hongik University came out on top with 'the finest interpretation of Ferrari's design brief for a thoroughbred hypercar.'

The students' creation, called Eternita, is jam packed with new technologies and gizmos, and beat IED of Turin and London's Royal College of Arts into second and third place respectively.

Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo was brimming over with enthusiasm about the designs, saying that there was Ferrari would be looking into the possibility of using some of the technology displayed in by the design-whizzkids in the competition. 'I saw at first hand the many genuinely innovative ideas that these talented youngsters sent us and could feel the enormous passion and commitment that had gone into them,' he said.

'I am certain that some of these suggestions will come to light in the Ferraris of the future.'
