Hamilton clinches Chinese GP win

Who says F1 is the pits these days? This weekend's Grand Prix,in China was probably the most exciting race of the season so far, as British driver Lewis Hamilton snatched a win from the jaws of his arch rival Sebastian Vettel, who was on course for his third successive victory, in the closing laps of the race.

Hamilton got his tactics spot on by opting for a three-stop strategy, in contrast to Vettel's two. In the race's final stages, with the Vettel leading though struggling with worn tyres, Hamilton was able to close on the German driver, and pounce.

His McLaren team-mate, Jenson Button, who also ran a three-stop race, must have thought third place was in the bag until Mark Webber, who had worked his way up from 18th in the grid after a problem with KERS, sailed past him as the pair entered the final lap.

Nico Rosberg narrowly pipped Felipe Massa to gain fifth place, and the rest of the points went to Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher, Vitaly Petrov and Kamui Kobayashi respectively.
