Jaguar recalls

British manufacturer Jaguar will soon inform owners of recent Jaguar XF and XK models that their vehicles will be recalled for repairs at the nearest Jaguar dealership.

According to Jaguar the two models listed above may experience a problem with the steering.

6,085 vehicles could be affected by the issue involving the steering hydraulic power assist hose, piping and connections. In a nut-shell, these elements contain ill-advised zinc-nickel plating, which doesn't fare well faced with humidity and wear and tear.

No report of a problem has been filed, but Jaguar says it is recalling the models so as they meet internal quality requirements.

As you’d expect, repairs will be carried out free of charge. The recall is expected to begin early next month, with customers notified in due course.
