Fuel pumps are a very important vehicle component so it is important to make sure yours is in good working order. The fuel pump is responsible for pumping fuel from the vehicles fuel tank to the engine. The fuel pump is also responsible for delivering to the carburetor under low pressure and to the fuel injection system under high pressure.
