Keep your V-dub in tip-top shape with VW van parts

If you own a newer model VW van, finding VW van parts can be as easy as visiting a local dealership or car parts store. Old VW vans however, have been around since the 1950s and sometimes finding parts can be a challenge. There is a high demand for these parts and consequently, there are places where you can find them.

Where to Start

For newer VW vans, simply check with the local dealer and ask if they have the part you need in stock. You can do the same with local auto parts stores when you are looking for genuine or OEM parts. Most places will order your part if they don’t have it. Purchasing new parts will cost you more than if you buy them refurbished or used.

Finding Used Parts

To find used parts, visit a local breaker yard and they should be able to help you locate the part you need. If you have a more recent model used van, you should have no trouble getting the right part. If you have one of the classic VW Micro Buses, however, your search may take a bit longer. Not all breakers will have these older VWs around. There are companies that specialize in these types of parts and many can be found on the Internet.

Locating Used Parts on the Internet

Nearly every one of these companies are breakers and have a good stock of used VW van parts or they will find the one you need if they don’t have it.
