Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is already sold out!
It was unveiled less than three months ago, but Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is already sold out. In case you managed to save up € 350,000 (around £302,500) for your next supercar, don't despair, you will still be able to order it today, but your new Lambo won't be arriving any sooner than mid-2014. In other words those who 'forgot' to book the car in advance will have to wait at least 18 months to get behind the wheel of the new Aventador Roadster.
The new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine producing 700-hp of maximum output and 690 Nm of peak torque, equipped with a permanent all-wheel drive system and mated to a seven-speed sequential manual transmission. The new drop top excels in performance, being one of the fastest topless supercar in the world, second just to the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is covered in three seconds flat, topped out at 350 km / h. The key behind such performance also lies in the car's unique lightweight top, made of two removable carbon fibre roof panels that weigh less than 6 kg each.
Recently the car has been the star of a spectacular show that took place in Miami, Florida, where Lamborghini started the celebration of its 50th anniversary with the launch of the Aventador LP700-4 Roadster. The sumptuous event included a parade of 40 hypercars on the runway of Miami International Airport, followed by a conference held by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann in South Beach. An American Airlines Boeing 777 also featured in the pictures of the event, marking the collaboration between Lamborghini and Boeing in the lightweight construction area.
