MG is launching three new models as it announced plans to restart car production in the UK.
The MG6 Fastback is due on sale in April, and, priced at £16,000, will be the first new MG model since 1995. Hot on its heals will be the MG6 saloon and later the MG3.
MG's Chinese owners, Shanghai Automotive, plan to shift 40,000 motors a year in the UK and Europe.
They have spent £45million on doing up the former Longbridge factory in Birmingham.
Sales and marketing director Guy Jones told The Sun: ‘We now have a family of MGs that will appeal to loyal owners and a generation of new buyers.’
MG Owners' Club general manager Richard Monk said: ‘We hope success for these cars will see development of a new two-seater.’
