New Cars to be Released in 2012

With car manufacturers working overtime to out do one another, 2012 will see some really exciting models. In an attempt to keep up with ever-changing customer preferences, many car manufacturers are preparing to roll out models with innovative designs and improved fuel economy and performance. Jaguar and Vauxhall have been at the forefront as far as car launches are concerned and they will keep automobile enthusiasts really interested with their new cars in 2012.

Jaguar XF Estate

With its muscular looks and power-packed features, the Jaguar XF Estate promises to sweep the car enthusiasts off their feet.  The automobile is shrouded in secrecy though as Jaguar remains tight-lipped about it.  Even the availability date of the car is not known. However, the Jaguar XF Estate is going to be another station wagon with an expected length of 4961mm. It may not be as big as a Mercedes E-class estate, but is expected to be at least as big as an Audi A6 Avant. Though Jaguar sources would not confirm it, the Jaguar XF Estate is expected at a European motor show in Paris or Geneva later this year.

Vauxhall Ampera

The Vauxhall Ampera is designed to run either on electricity or fuel. You can recharge the car at home, office or even at charging points on the street.  A four-hour charge enables the car to run up to 50 miles. The makers of Vauxhall Ampera have not tried to be too innovative with the design but have still managed to impart a contemporary look.  The Vauxhall Ampera is priced at £28,950 and will be available from April 2012.
