On the road again

What a difference a couple of weeks makes. After coming back from the brink of financial ruination, Saab is now finalising a 245 million Euro rescue package, and is boasting about intentions to make three brand new models.

A small city car named the 9.1 will aim to steal a march on the Mini and the Fiat 500, while Saab also has plans to create a 9-6X, a large SUV, and the 9-7, an executive saloon in the mould of the Audi A8 and Volvo S80 saloons.

Mr. Pang Qingnian, CEO of Youngman, said: 'The Saab '9-6X' and Saab '9-7' will be key to enhancing the prestige of the Saab brand to an even larger group of customers in China and the US, while the entry level Saab '9-1' will appeal to urban motorists around the globe.'

Sounds like from not being able to pay employees wages, Saab has now got all bases covered.
