Prince Harry meets Damon Hill at Grand Prix

Prince Harry made his presence felt at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, as he brushed shoulders with former F1 champion Damon Hill and enjoyed a guided tour of the new Silverstone paddock and pits before the race started.

Before, the only paddocks the Prince would probably have seen would have been ones with horses in. But these mechanical beasts don't neigh.

The Prince was scheduled to present the trophy to the winner and, along with 122,000 Brits lining the circuit, would have been hoping for a home win. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be as Fernando Alonso managed to snatch the crown, with Lewis Hamilton only managing fourth.

The 26.year-old Prince was shown around by 1996 World Champion and chairman of the British Drivers' Racing Club, Damon Hill.
