If you’ve ever wanted to owe a little piece of Royal history then now is your chance with the news that the Queen’s personal car is to be sold.
The Jaguar Daimler V8, which only has 14,000 on the clock was used by the Queen between 2001 and 2004 and will be sold by memorabilia dealer Peter Ratcliffe. And before you ask ‘eh? I’ve never seen Lizzy nipping down to Tescos for her weekly shop’, the Queen only used the car to drive around her Windsor estate, as you do. Interesting customised features include an in car telephone that phones directly to the Prime Minister (sadly no longer in use) and a pull-out handbag holder to keep the Queen's handbag upright whilst travelling. Another excellent piece of pub ammo is that the Queen is the only person in the UK who drivers a car and doesn’t posses a drivers license. So there.
The Jag is expected to go for approximately £65,000.
