An ‘exotic vehicle’ rental company based in New York and Miami has volunteered to deliver meals on wheels in the Pascack Valley region of New Jersey, in order to raise awareness of hunger among elderly citizens.
Gotham Dream Cars arranged the ‘Fastest Meals on Wheels in the Country’, delivering meals to more than 40 OAPs. The meals were delivered in mouth-watering vehicles such as the Maserati Quattroporte, Bentley Continental GTC and Lamborghini Gallardo.
Noah Lehmann-Haupt, Founder and CEO of Gotham Dream Cars, said: ‘The Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels makes a big impact in relieving senior hunger in Bergen County, and we’re pleased to support their efforts. Our vehicles are exotic, and we thought using them to support local volunteers would be a great way to get the word out about the program to those who don’t realize what a difference it makes to seniors in need.’
Jeanne Martin, Director of the Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels, was delighted with the firm’s work: ‘The support of our community is essential to combating senior hunger in the area. We’re pleased to have the support of Gotham Dream Cars to help spread the message about the difference local volunteers can make in helping out seniors in need.’
