To say the car industry has been under strain over the last 12 months would be an understatement. One prime example of this is the health & safety nightmare suffered by Toyota who recalled huge numbers of their cars after users complained of problems with the brakes.
To add to their woes, Toyota have announced recently they are to recall 7,500 Toyota Land Cruiser 150 Prado and Lexus GX 460 models from across Europe. Toyota have said the cars are safe to drive and so the recall is on a voluntary basis so they can reprogram the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) – which is the cars responsiveness.
With news that Nissan, Audi and BMW have halted car production because of the overbearing Icelandic ash cloud, the motoring industry is really hoping that this cloud will have a silver-lining eventually.
