Toyota to return to full fitness

Japanese car maker Toyota will be back to full strength from April 18th when it resumes work at all its facilities in Japan, a month after the natural disaster that almost crippled the firm struck.

Parts shortages during the past month have affected the production of Toyota cars not only in Japan, but in the US too.

Thankfully, the car giants announced on Friday that full operational status will be resumed in all of its plants from April 18th

The March 11 disaster rocked Toyota more than its rivals, not necessarily because of damages to the facilities themselves, but because the parts supply chain was disrupted.

Problems for Toyota and the Japanese motor industry were not confined to Japanese shores - the quake and Tsunami also disrupted the US market, where GM and Ford announced a halt in production at some of their facilities too.
