World's best muscle car
There’s nothing sexier on the road than a muscle car. We all know that in general muscle cars don’t handle well, they take a lot of fuel and they literally burn rubber so you’ll be buying tyres far more often than you do with other cars so who makes the world’s best muscle car?Dodge Challenger
There are loads of iconic muscle cars but is there a better looking muscle car than the Dodge Challenger? As you’ll see from our lead image this is a great looking car. The numbers also back up its claim to greatness as the 2015 version comes with a 6.5 litre V-8 that gives you 485 BHP and 475 Ib-ft of torque. The 8-speed ZF 8HP automatic transmission makes this an easy car to drive. But is it the best in the world?
The sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro was launched in May at Belle Isle in Detroit. This one’s 91 kg lighter than the fifth generation model and more than 70% of the car’s parts were designed specifically for it. Three engines are offered including a 2.0-litre turbo-charged inline-four that pumps out 275 BHP, a 3.6 litre V-6 that makes 335 BHP, while the 6.2 litre V-8 found in the SS model has 455 BHP. As with the Dodge, an eight-speed automatic transmission does most of the work for you.
You can forgive Ford for giving the current model the corporate grille because it looks great. The sixth generation machine is the first to be designed for the world market so American’s might find it a little compromised but Brits will be able to get their hands on a right-hand drive model for the very first time.
So which is the best? Well, that’s really up to you to decide isn’t it? if you'd rather have a look back through the best muscle cars of the past, check out this gallery.
